St James Hotel; BW Premier Collection Nottingham

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel in an excellent location-right by the castle. The hotel is close to the city centre, making it convenient for exploring the area. The cleanliness of the rooms and the hotel facilities were great. The staff were very helpful and friendly, ensuring a pleasant stay.

Not obvious to find.

Good location, convenient parking nearby, complimentary water in the room, comfortable and clean with all necessary amenities, spacious bed. 👍

My room was compact with double bed and wardrobes, it accommodated me perfectly. Everybody was welcoming and understanding. The location was unbeatable, close to a family museum.

The bar and restaurant were great, offering delicious food and drinks. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. the breakfast provided was of high quality and satisfying.

Loved almost every detail, including location and facilities, they were great!

The hotel is located in a prime spot, practically opposite the castle and near the centre, yet it manages to maintain a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. The room was comfortable and clean, with all the necessary amenities. The service provided by the staff was excellent, always friendly and helpful. The breakfast selection was good and satisfying. the hotel offers convenient access to everything in the area, making it easy to explore Nottingham.

The phone lines were not working for the duration of my stay, which made it difficult to contact the restaurant or make any necessary calls.

All of the stuff where pleasant, exceptional. The room was neat on a wall-mounted heater which was switched off and had a kettle, central heating and an iron. Marvellous and magnificent location close enough to The Exchange. There were an old market and a market around the hotel.

Enjoyed the place, had a such great stay. The hotel had a very central location and it was within walking distance of Nottingham Castle Museum and Art Gallery. Unique base for exploring Nottingham.

We had a fantastic stay at St James Hotel; BW Premier Collection. Our Executive Double room was beautiful, and the spaciousness was very good. The room was tastefully decorated and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The mini toiletries provided by 'the white company' were a sweet little touch that we appreciated.

Although there were a couple of minor inconveniences, such as a leaky shower and views of neighboring houses, they didn't really impact our overall experience. The shower was still perfectly usable, and we were only there for one night, so the views weren't a big deal for us.

The venue was contemporary, it had fantastic staff and location. The rooms were cheap with air con.

Fantastic value hotel, fairly clean, with best possible location adjacent to the castle and city centre and bars. An iron, an electronic key card and a work desk were provided for a really fab stay.

We were thrilled to find this place in the heart of the city! Its location nearby the beautiful area was perfect for our weekend break, as we were able to explore the surroundings at our own pace. The service room offered us excellent facilities such as dry cleaning and housekeeping with 24-hour room service, which made our stay comfortable. In addition, we received a warm welcome with a complimentary drink, and tours/ticket assistance was available. We were pleasantly surprised to see the spacious room with amenities ranging from ironing facilities to a TV set.

The breakfast was gorgeous, the room was cosy and cheap, we appreciated it. Popped in Caribe Restaurant and Bar for shots before sleep, it was at a near distance from the venue. Quick check-in, late check-out.

Super location

Please don't take room 201. It is next to the elevators which ran until midnight and started again at 5:30 am very noisy . Moreover this room is very small. Even the ceiling height is low?

no street noise.

The bedroom door is not soundproof at all. You can hear the slightest noise in the hallway.

hotel is conveniently located in the centre of Nottingham but quietly close to the castle, protected from the noise of the drinking streets of the town hall and canal. buffet breakfast at under £10 is very good.

A slight defect: the entrance to the hotel, too discreet, is difficult to find; it is on a small square near the entrance ramp to the St James silo car park.

reception is excellent. room is small but perfect for a short stay. bedding is good and choice of various teas in the room is very appreciable. You can leave your luggage at the reception which is very practical. hotel is ideally located near the castle.

The sheets were not very clean (hair). The bathroom is old-fashioned and doesn't work very well. The drains do not smell very good. I found the price a bit high for the quality of the room.

The room was nicely decorated, comfortable, quiet. The location was quite convenient, both close to the castle and not far from the town centre. Parking just next door.

I noticed that the bathroom ventilation was covered with dust bunnies. It was finally cleaned but after 2 hours, so no shower or relaxation in the meantime. It was cold in the room, radiator a bit out of date. The staff was not very reactive or gave contradictory information.

The breakfast with the continental and English choice was very enjoyable. The staff is welcoming. At disposal we have an ironing board and an iron. And there are several little touches in the room like a perfume for the pillow.

The room was really small, hard to get around... The curtain is not very opaque and lets in too much light. The room is poorly insulated, I could hear the neighbour on the phone. The bedding is not very comfortable. The room is badly insulated from a thermal point of view, I had to put heating on July 9th . The shower head was mouldy. The toilet too close to the door also and I found some hairs. Globally for a 4 stars one would expect better, we have here rather a 2 stars with the price of a 3 stars.

The room is comfortable. The staff and service are good.

Impossible to make the shower work properly, it must be changed.
